Meet Pam Richey Curtis,
Owner of Belle Flower Farm

I’ve always considered myself a worker bee buzzing around “Nature.” From my time at what is now Portland Art Institute, I enjoyed the hum of production; creating from behind the scenes. In the early years of my career I worked as a retail manager, freelance display artist, caterer, florist, merchandiser. During the whirl of raising our two sons, I continued to gather experiences that allowed for personal and professional growth, such as: nurturing a passion for gardening by tending to our family property, creating an Art Adventure program and annual Family Arts Nights for my children’s elementary schools—work that was honored with recognition, styling and catering weddings, corporate and charitable events, and writing for local magazine featuring SW Washington artists.
Named after my great grandmother Laura Belle, Belle Flower Farm is a nod to childhood memories playing in her garden, pretending to marry under the rose arbor & looking for treasures in the greenhouse. The story continues from Laura Belle’s own floral business in Vancouver, Highland Florist, in the 1950’s, to continuing my own life’s purpose.
