Paige’s Wedding Shower
A Woodland Spring Afternoon

That idea became the seed of everything. A woodland meadow theme, drawn entirely from the home itself and the season just arriving. Cottage roses, hyacinth, butterfly ranunculus, Hellebore, tulips, fiddlehead ferns, and spray roses — layered in butter yellow, apricot, blush, rose, and purple, everything softened by lush green moss. White pottery vessels carried the arrangements from the welcome table through the dining room, the sidebar, and out onto the patio. A long meadow trough of succulents anchored the kitchen island, dogwood branches rising from it during the shower — and removed afterward, leaving her with a living centerpiece she kept long after the day was over.
Paige is a proud dog mom. So, we built her a craft station — satin ribbons, floral glue, blooms in the same palette, and little boxes sealed with stickers bearing the bride and groom’s names. Guests made dog collars. The sweetest model wore hers home.
The wedding would be in California — this was the Pacific Northwest’s celebration of her, a spring afternoon that couldn’t have been more perfectly itself. The sun was just right. The ferns smelled of earth and new beginnings. And this, quietly, was where the Meadows Collection began.
